The DigniFI Study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Cook MyoSite’s investigational product compared to placebo (which is a solution without cells) for the treatment of chronic fecal incontinence in females with a history of an obstetric injury to the anal sphincter. Pre-clinical studies have demonstrated that these cells can become part of the muscle where they are injected. Placebo-administered participants will have the option to be treated with the investigational product after 12 months without the need for another muscle biopsy.
